Gary Free Pattern

Materials

• Amigurumi yarn in the colors:
  • Light blue
  • Light green
  • Salmon
  • Orange
  • Black
• Crochet needle of the number corresponding to the chosen yarn
• Stuffing
• Tapestry needle
• Scissors
• Stitch Marker
• Felt in the colors: Blue and red
• Silicone glue (or preferred glue)

Abbreviations

– MR – Magic Ring

– sc – Single crochet

Body

1. (Light Blue) 15 ch, go back making 13 sc, 3-sc inc, 12 sc, 1 inc (30 sts)

2. 1 inc, 12 sc, 3 inc, 12 sc, 2 inc (36 sts)

3. (1 sc, 1 inc), 12 sc, (1 sc, 1 inc) 3x, 12 sc, (1 sc, 1 inc) 2x (42 sts)

4. (2 sc, 1 inc), 12 sc, (2 sc, 1 inc) 3x, 12 sc, (2 sc, 1 inc) 2x (48 sts)

5. (BLO) 48 sc (48 sts)

6. 48 sc (48 sts)

7. (2 sc, 1 dec), 12 sc, (2 sc, 1 dec) 3x, 12 sc, (2 sc, 1 dec) 2x (42 sts)

Fasten off and leave yarn tail for sewing. Close the piece with a tapestry needle. Don´t forget the stuffing.

4. (2 sc, 1 inc) 6x (24 sts)

5. (3 sc, 1 inc) 6x (30 sts)

6. (4 sc, 1 inc) 6x (36 sts)

Eyes (Make 2)

2. (Orange – BLO) 4 inc (8 sts)

3. (Light Green – BLO) (3 sc, 1 inc) 2x (10 sts)

4. (1 sc, 1 inc) 5x (15 sts)

5 – 6. 15 sc (15 sts) – [2 rounds]

7. (1 sc, 1 dec) 5x (10 sts)

8. (3 sc, 1 dec) 2x (8 sts)

Fill with stuffing and fasten off.

Eye Rod (Make 2)

1. (Light blue) 6 sc in the MR (6 sts)

2 – 7. 6 sc (6 sts) [6 rounds]

Fasten off and leave yarn tail for sewing.

Assembly

• Sew the rod to the eye, then position the eyes on the front of the body.

• Position and sew the shell just behind the eyes.

• Using the loops from row 5 of the body, make (1 sc, 3-sc inc) all the way around, with the light green thread.

• Cut out of the blue felt 10 little balls (they don’t have to be circular). The size will depend on the size of the shell.
